If you require a doctor after 6pm, at weekends or on public holidays when the surgery is closed, please telephone the usual number (0845 – 337 – 6310).  Your call will then be redirected to NHS 24

The Practice has scheduled time (2pm – 4pm) each weekday for patients wishing to enquire about Test Results. Please select the appropriate option when telephoning the practice.

Practice Nurses

bp_checkOur Practice Nurses can help you with all the following:

Dressings and Bandages, Wound Care, Ear Syringing, Immunisations, New Patient Appointments, Blood Pressure and Urine Checks, Travel Vaccinations and Travel Health Advice, Smear Tests, Contraception and Family Planning advice, Well-Woman or Well-Man checks and other Healthy Lifestyle advice.

They also have specialist training in order to run chronic disease management clinics for patients with Diabetes, Asthma, COPD, Heart Disease or Hypertension. The Practice Nurses will also act as a chaperone for patients who request this, and also assist the doctors during minor surgery procedures.

Phlebotomist

The Practice has a phlebotomist who takes most of the blood samples for laboratory testing. She also carries out routine blood pressure checks, urinalysis and updates patient records regarding lifestyle information such as smoking and alcohol.

The phlebotomy clinic is held every weekday morning, by appointment only.
